A story about suffering from sudden symptoms of enteritis and gastritis
I had enteritis and gastritis at the same time, and I felt sick for a few days. I tried to endure it at home, but the symptoms got worse, so I ended up going to the hospital.
After getting treatment, medication, and IV fluids, I finally felt like I could live a little longer.
At first, I thought it was just a simple feeling of nausea. I usually have bloating sometimes, so I didn't think much of it, but this time, the warning signs were very clear. The abdominal pain continued, as if it was being squeezed, and I started having recurring diarrhea, like the early symptoms of enteritis. A bitter feeling rose up to my stomach, so I thought, "This might be gastritis, too." Even drinking water made me feel nauseous.
I went straight to the bathroom and flushed it with water.
It was tough. I realized anew just how powerful enteritis can be.
When I went to the hospital, the doctor said I had enteritis and gastritis.
They attributed it to several factors. They said it was likely a combination of overwork and suddenly eating something cold. During the examination, they emphasized that hydration is key to treating enteritis, and that gastritis requires consistent medication because the stomach lining is highly irritated. Fortunately, the enteritis and stomach medication worked well without any major side effects.
After taking the medication for a day or two, I could clearly feel the effects. My enteritis symptoms subsided, and the burning heartburn from gastritis gradually subsided. I slowly started eating again, starting with plain water. It's clear that diet control is the most important factor during the recovery period.
Having recently suffered from both enteritis and gastritis, I've realized once again how important prevention is. If I'd just been a little more mindful of my eating habits, I wouldn't have been in so much pain. From now on, I'll try not to overdo it and go to the hospital immediately if I feel even the slightest unusual symptom.
