Chronic gastritis treatment process and recovery review
Sharing the treatment experience of a person in their 30s who suffered from chronic gastritis for two years. I will share the know-how gained from trying various treatment methods and what actually worked. I hope it can be of some help to those suffering from gastritis.
Hello! I am an office worker who is usually interested in health management. Today, I would like to talk about the chronic gastritis I have experienced for two years and the treatment process.
The first time I experienced symptoms of gastritis was during a period of intense workplace stress. I had a burning and bloated sensation in my stomach that lasted for several days. At first, I thought I just had indigestion, so I only took antacids and endured it, but since the symptoms persisted, I decided to visit a hospital.
The endoscopy results diagnosed chronic gastritis, and Helicobacter pylori was also found. The doctor explained that stress and irregular eating habits are the main causes.
The first treatment involved taking antibiotics and acid suppressants for two weeks, and I felt a lot better. However, even after eradication therapy, the symptoms of gastritis did not completely disappear.
So I started looking for additional treatment options. I consistently took acid suppressants and focused on improving my eating habits. I avoided spicy and salty foods and tried to maintain regular meal times.
I also tried traditional Korean medicine treatment, and the herbal medicine prescribed at the Korean medicine clinic helped alleviate my gastritis symptoms. It seemed more effective when combined with Western medical treatment.
I was very eager to resolve it, haha.
The most important thing alongside treatment was improving my lifestyle habits. I started practicing yoga and meditation to manage stress, and I also abstained from alcohol. In particular, breaking the habit of eating late at night was very helpful in treating my gastritis.
I realized that treating gastritis is not something that can be done in a short period; consistent management is necessary. I hope this can be of some help to those with similar concerns!
