(Warning: Photo) What should I do about skin burned by a curling iron?ㅠㅠ
I usually use a curling iron, and although I have occasionally gotten slight burns on my forehead or temples while using it, I have never been seriously burned.
Yesterday, I was using my curling iron as usual, but my hand slipped and I dropped it. Unfortunately, it fell on my leg.ㅠㅠ
It happened just when I was briefly pulling up my long pants, so I dropped it right onto my bare thigh... 😭😭😭
I usually use the curling iron at around 160 degrees, but that day I think it was set to 170 or 180 degrees.
At first, I dropped the curling iron and shouted, "Ah! Hot!" and immediately put it away, but as time went on, it started to feel burning and hot.
I quickly put away the curling iron, and the area that was burning wasn't large or very red, so at first I didn't think it was a big deal.
But it kept burning and hurting... So I just put a band from home on it.
This is a photo from yesterday morning.
After half a day, I removed the bandage and a blister had formed.
I wondered what it was, so I applied ointment...
And today, after sleeping for a day and waking up... I was in so much pain that I took off the band.
It is the same area as above. The swelling appears raised due to pus and ointment, but the burned area has become slightly diamond-shaped.
Wow, it really stings and feels hot! It hurtsㅠㅠ
I thought it could happen even if I removed the curling iron in just one second. Maybe it was because the temperature was too highㅠㅠㅠ
The problem is that it's a holiday now, so I can't go to the hospital...
What should I do about this? 🫠
All the nearby pharmacies are closed, and since today is Wednesday, the supermarket is also closedㅠ I hurried to Olive Young and bought a burn bandage, and I applied ointment as well.. I have to hold out until Friday for now, but I'm worried it might get worseㅠㅠ
Please share any tips if there are people who have burned themselves with a curling iron 😭
