Question - Are these such nails and toenails ingrown nails?

 

It's my fourth finger. The other nails are fine, but only the fourth finger is like that.

If you look at the picture, the edge of the nail always grows into the flesh. Is this also a case of ingrown toenail?

 

The tip of my fingernail is pointed like a "ㄱ" shape, so it pokes into my flesh and really hurts..ㅠㅠ When it's severe, the flesh at the tip of my nail swells up and even a slight touch to the flesh feels extremely painful.

 

This is a photo I took at that time, but after a little more time, it swells up red like this. The swelling is only at the tip of the nail, and there is also some warmth. So if I don't regularly take care of my nails, the swelling persists, and I often cut and trim my nails in everyday life. I thought about trying different nail shapes, but whether I cut my nails round or square, it’s the sameㅠ

 

The problem was when I went on an overseas trip for about a week. During that week, my fingernails gradually grew, and the tips of my nails started digging into the flesh, causing a lot of painㅠ They swelled up and turned red, almost like they were infected.

Since it's abroad, I couldn't find a nail clipper anywhere, and I figured I could just cut it at home, so I didn't buy one and just endured it. When I got home, I quickly cut it. I wish I had taken a picture after cutting itㅠ. After trimming the tip of the nail, a hole suddenly appearsㅠㅋㅋ

A pinhole-sized hole appeared in the area where I was gaining weight, and the flesh that was swollen and red in that spot turned into scales, and later it peeled off like a shell.

Those who understand what this means will know what it is!

 

I've always wondered why my nails are like that, and a friend said it's because I have a resistant nail, like a resistant toenail.

I know about ingrown toenails, but do fingernails also have a tendency to be resistant?

When I heard the word "ingrown," I looked at my toenails and they seemed a bit problematic.

Sometimes, when I walk, my feet hurt, and during those times, I notice that the toenails swell up like fingernails.

I thought I had hurt myself from walking too much or that I had cut my toenails incorrectly...

Actually, all I do in management is trim the edges of the fingernails and toenails. But it's only a temporary fix before the nails grow back.

I thought ingrown toenails only referred to twisted nails, but I wonder if these types of toes are also considered ingrown toenails.
