(Concern) When the sunlight becomes hot, I worry about sun allergy.
I have been struggling with sun allergy for a long time. It feels like it's been over ten years. At some point, I started developing sun allergy, and even now, when I feel the sunlight is harsh, I become worried.
The tops of my hands, arms, and neck are exposed to sunlight, but especially the back of my neck, which becomes painful when an allergy starts. It begins to itch and then becomes very stinging, often making it hard to sleep. September this year was particularly hot.
I went to do the ancestral grave cleaning before the holiday, and I started by taking precautions such as wearing a sun-blocking mask, arm sleeves, gloves, and a hat. However, even during brief moments like taking a rest or eating, my sun allergy flared up during the short exposure time.
I applied sunscreen on my face as well, and I already sweat a lot, but since the windbreaker doesn't have ventilation, I couldn't sweat properly, leading to dehydration and feeling like I was going to die. I naturally sweat excessively, but trying to block out the sunlight allergy by wrapping myself up tightly was incredibly stressful, making this recent memorial service quite a ordeal.
So, I always keep aloe vera in the refrigerator for skin soothing and use it chilled.
I know that prevention, such as using sunscreen to block ultraviolet rays, is actually the best approach rather than complete cure for allergies, but I still worry about sunlight allergies that cause inconvenience in daily life every year. How wonderful would it be if a world existed where taking a certain medication could magically make it disappear...ㅠㅠ
