Sharing my story of suffering for about six months due to a skin cyst and then having it removed.

After treatment
Those who have pierced their ears will understand, but sometimes pus accumulates in the pierced area.
In my case, even though it's been a very long time since I pierced my ears, I sometimes notice pus accumulating.
At first, I thought it was because of the earrings, but even without wearing earrings, pus kept accumulating.
When I cut it, blood came out and there were times when dark red pus also appeared.
So I went to the dermatologist, and they just squeezed out the pus and gave me medication.
But after some time had passed since taking the medication, it happened again.
The area behind my ear was swollen, so I couldn't just leave it alone, so I went to another dermatologist.
When I went to another hospital, the doctor immediately said it was a skin cyst.
I just thought it was an inflammation all along, so I never imagined it could be a skin cyst.
Because the first hospital I visited didn't even mention it as a skin cyst.
Since it's not just a simple pus or inflamed pimple, I heard that skin cysts must be surgically removed.
So, we went into surgery immediately that day.
Removal of skin cysts is also considered surgery and can be covered by insurance!
I had anesthesia and removed the cyst, but even with the anesthesia, I could still feel a little. Like a scratching sensation? Haha
After removing a somewhat large skin cyst, the shape of my earlobe is slightly different from the other side, haha.
The removed side of the earlobe has become slightly smaller.
They say that after some time, the swelling will go down again.
This is a photo taken after removing a skin cyst, and the bandage is really big, isn't it? Haha
I also received a prescription for ointment. They told me to apply this ointment after removing the bandage.
There are probably others like me, so if you visited a hospital for a skin cyst and didn't get better right away, I definitely recommend going to a different hospital!
