Sharing tips on prevention and management of athlete's foot~
During the summer, because of increased sweating and exposure,
It seems that athlete's foot is easy to develop~
I think it would be helpful to learn about prevention methods for athlete's foot~
Another common skin problem that occurs during the summer is athlete's foot. Athlete's foot is a skin condition caused by a fungus called dermatophyte, and it commonly occurs on the feet. Hot and humid environments provide ideal conditions for the growth of the fungus, making athlete's foot more prevalent in the summer. It can be transmitted from person to person through skin flakes shed by someone with the infection, especially in swimming pools or public bath facilities.
Athlete's foot mainly occurs between the toes, with symptoms including a white, cracked, and itchy interdigital type; small blisters on the soles or sides of the feet, which are intensely itchy and called vesicular type; and thickened keratinization across the entire sole, known as hyperkeratotic type. If not treated promptly, athlete's foot can spread gradually and be transmitted to others, so it is important to start treatment as soon as symptoms appear. Prevention is just as important as treatment.
