(Concern) Annoying atopic dermatitis.. Skin wounds and scars are severe.
What is atopy?
Atopic dermatitis (commonly called eczema) is a chronic, itchy inflammation of the upper layer of the skin, often occurring in individuals with hay fever, asthma, or a family history of the condition.
Symptoms of atopic dermatitis
Atopic dermatitis usually begins rapidly from as early as 3 months of age during infancy.
In the initial (acute) stage, red areas with discharge and scabs appear, and sometimes blisters form. Itching is often severe.
In the chronic (later) stage, scratching and rubbing the area make it appear dry and thickened like leather.
I am worried about my daughter's severe atopic dermatitis.
My daughter has really severe atopic dermatitis.
The first child does not have atopic dermatitis, but the second child has had atopic dermatitis since 5 months old.
The second child is currently 11 years old and in fifth grade of elementary school.
I've tried everything that is said to be really good, and I am also visiting the hospital regularly.
I have also tried feeding evening primrose seed oil and am continuously taking supplements that are said to be good.
I have tried all the recommended foods and purchased all the recommended moisturizers.
I also used a lot of moisturizing lotions prescribed at the hospital.
I am still always managing it now..
This can't be fully cured.
It seems to be getting better, but then they say it itches again...
I accidentally scratched myself and got a wound without realizing it.
There are scars from scratching on the overlapping areas of the smooth, beautiful legs and hands, as well as scars from atopic dermatitis.
It makes me upset every time I see it.
It's summer, so wearing shorts and short-sleeved shirts makes it stand out even more, which makes my heart ache.
The doctor said that applying moisturizer regularly and taking care of it will improve.
It's been a month now in that condition.
Some people keep asking to see my daughter's skin and wonder why it looks like that, which makes both my child and me feel uncomfortable.
I feel heartbroken because I think my daughter's atopic dermatitis is hereditary.
Atopic reactions occur locally as a hypersensitive response to allergens.
I was very heartbroken to hear that research shows a strong correlation between atopic dermatitis and genetic disorders.
It is said that the risk increases if a direct family member has atopic dermatitis.
Could it be that I inherited my mother's constitution, who suffers from chronic rhinitis?
It is very painful and difficult.
The areas where the hips, legs, and arms connect are too severe.
Sometimes, while sleeping without realizing it, I scratch myself, and blood can get on my underwear or clothes.
I can't take your place and suffer instead...
I should have been born with a healthy body... I truly feel so guilty and sorry.
What I am doing to treat my daughter's atopic dermatitis...
✅ Visiting the dermatology clinic regularly every month and applying the lotion and moisturizer prescribed by the hospital.
Use eczema-specific soap instead of regular soap.
Apply plenty of moisturizer while the skin is still damp immediately after bathing.
✅ Shower/bathing should be limited to once a day, and the bathwater temperature should be lukewarm.
✅ Gently press or lightly pat the skin to dry after bathing without rubbing.
✅ I am taking vitamin D and evening primrose oil to strengthen my immune system.
We are also working to alleviate emotional stress.
At the hospital, they alternately prescribed Zerod Lotion and Cream / ESTRADERM Atoberry Lotion.
Mom, when will I stop itching? Mom, when will I be able to sleep soundly?
Every time my daughter asks me, I feel like crying, but I hold back.
If you manage it well and treat it properly, it will get better!!
They tell me to say that.
I want to manage diligently without giving up.
Are there any people suffering from atopic dermatitis?
Are there anyone with experiences or methods for healing wounds and scars caused by atopic dermatitis?
Please let me know, please ㅠㅠ
