헤르페스 교차감염이 가능한가요...? 이런 일이 실제로 일어나는지 궁금하긴 하네요.
Is it possible for herpes simplex virus type 1 to be transmitted as type 2 through cross-infection?
I have a question about herpes.
What I currently know is that Herpes Simplex Virus type 1 (HSV-1) mainly causes blisters on the lips.
Herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) is primarily known to cause blisters in the genital area.

However, recently I have become curious about this.
Can a person infected with herpes type 1 be cross-infected with herpes type 2?
I want to know if HSV-1 can transform into HSV-2 or if both types of infections can occur simultaneously.
For example, a person with herpes simplex virus type 1 blisters on their lips.
I am wondering if it is possible to get infected with herpes type 2 through sexual contact.
And if cross-infection is possible, I would like to know how to prevent or treat it.
It would be very helpful if you could provide information related to this. Thank you!
