I am suffering from chronic constitutional allergies. Sharing my treatment experience.
The child has had a constitutional allergic dermatitis since infancy.
Treating constitutional allergies is largely related to genetics, so it takes a long time to become completely free of them. Currently, I am attending a dermatologist for treatment of constitutional allergies, combining medication and topical ointments.
When I was a young child, I noticed something bumpy on my arms and legs, so I went to the hospital. I think I was about 3 years old at the time. At first, I visited a pediatrician, but since the medication didn't work well, I was referred to a dermatologist.
The doctor said it seems to be a constitutional allergy and that it won't be easy to recover quickly. First, it is important that the child does not feel itchy or scratch, so he prescribed ointment.
He emphasized that moisturizing is also important in treating constitutional allergies. From that day, I applied plenty of lotion to prevent itching, and if it became too difficult, I visited a dermatologist.
These days, as my child has entered puberty, they show very sensitive reactions on their skin. Especially when friends see their arms, they ask, "What is this?" Even when I tell them it's a hereditary allergy, some kids keep asking what hereditary allergy is. Since then, they haven't worn short sleevesㅠㅠ
Recently, I also visited the hospital for treatment of hereditary allergies. Now that summer has arrived and I need to wear short sleeves, I wanted to help my child regain confidence by improving their condition to some extent.
I asked again just to be sure about the diagnosis, and it turns out it's a hereditary allergy. They told me that hereditary allergy treatment doesn't get better overnight, so I should stay relaxed.
The prescribed treatment for constitutional allergies includes medication and ointment. Currently, the allergy symptoms are visibly noticeable on the face and both arms. If it were on the body, I could hide it, but since both are visible areas, I am very worried.
I was prescribed two types of treatment ointments for hereditary allergies; one is for the face and the other is for the arm.
It is now the third day of my constitutional allergy treatment, and I have improved a lot compared to before. First, the redness has significantly decreased, and the rough, bumpy areas are gradually disappearing.
Treatment for constitutional allergies is said to be different from general skin diseases because it involves many genetic factors.
Think of it as long-term treatment.
Eat as naturally as possible.
He emphasized that moisturizing is important for treating constitutional allergies. He also advised applying lotion generously after showering to prevent dryness.
At first, I thought I was lucky it wasn't atopic dermatitis, but now I realize that treating hereditary allergies is not easy either. I hope he recovers quickly so I can see my child comfortably wearing clothes.
