(Review) Crown and restoration treatment review

Did I enjoy the rice cake so much that I broke a tooth in front of my molars...ㅠㅠ I wonder if my teeth have weakened after giving birth...

But the problem was with a single crown tooth💧

In such cases... there were many instances where the crown had to be removed, the inside treated, and then re-crowned, which led to fears of root canal treatment and concerns about the cost 😱😭

 

Since it would be more painful to keep it, I hurriedly looked for a hospital to receive treatment as soon as possible, and I chose a place among the hospitals I had been treated at before that had clean facilities, friendly staff, and good treatment.

 

 

It is located on the 3rd floor of the Nonghyup building at Sungshin Women's University!

Since my baby is young, my husband either comes home from work or takes the baby to my parents' house, so I needed a place that offers evening clinics. Vincent Dental Clinic offers evening hours on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, three days a week, so even if I need root canal treatment, I think it can be finished quickly, which I liked.

 

 

The indoor space was this clean and quiet!!

I went near lunchtime on Monday and there were only a few people. I left the baby at my parents' house and just came to check the estimate and see how the treatment would proceed.

 

 

Looking at the condition of the teeth, I said I needed to take an X-ray first, so I had an X-ray taken at a place equipped with such a device.

 

 

Then, I consulted with the doctor while looking at the dental X-ray, and when I asked how long the treatment would take, he said he would need to remove the crown to know for sure, but based on the current X-ray, it looks close to the nerve, so it might be painful.

 

If you don't undergo root canal treatment, it seems like it will be finished after the second visit, but if you proceed with the root canal treatment, you'll need to come a few more times.

 

And they explained in detail that the broken tooth was likely caused by decay that had hollowed out the inside.

 

I hesitated, but I had a reason to decide to receive treatment.

I also disliked dental clinics that casually extract teeth or recommend root canal treatments, based on content I extracted from the website, but the philosophy of preserving natural teeth as much as possible really resonated with me!

I was hesitating to undergo treatment, but the doctor asked if I was available today and mentioned that I had difficulty coming because of my baby. When I explained the situation, the doctor said, "Let's do the treatment today, it will only take 30 minutes," and promised to do it as quickly as possible, so we proceeded with the treatment immediately.

 

The previous crown was removed, sealed like this, and the internal cavity treatment was started.

 

It was possible with local anesthesia, and fortunately, it seems that the nerve was not affected, so treatment was performed.

 

Then I have to cover it again, and they gave me the option to choose between ceramic and gold. Since the inside molar is in the front, they recommended using gold, which is harder than ceramic, so I decided to proceed with gold and take an impression.

 

It took about 30 minutes to complete the treatment and imitation as well!!

I think the doctor was there for about 3-4 minutes.

 

And until the new gold crown arrives, fill the tooth with a fake one and use it for 5 days. If possible, avoid chewing food on the treated side. He warned me that if the fake tooth breaks or falls off, it could cause sensitivity, and then he sent me away with these scary words.. 😱😭

 

Fortunately, the tooth I had protected was attached yesterday after being molded!! ㅠㅠㅠ

 

They warned that if the cold sensitivity or pain continues or occurs even after a month of applying the gold crown, a root canal treatment may be necessary.

 

The cost came out to 537,000 wonㅠㅠ I also had another one filled with white, different from the gold one..^^ Still, I find comfort in thinking it's better than getting worse and hurting more.

 

And the medicine the doctor gave me...!!!

Fortunately... I haven't gotten sick yet.

It doesn't hurt either^^ I hope everything goes smoothly from now on.
