Many people struggle with yellow teeth despite brushing their teeth three times a day. Improper brushing habits can contribute to yellow teeth. British dentist Dr. Perak Hamid shared some of the "brushing mistakes people make" with the Daily Mail.
The first is to avoid wetting your toothbrush when brushing. It's a common misconception that a stiff toothbrush is better at removing stains and debris from teeth. However, according to Dr. Hamid, brushing with a stiff toothbrush actually wears down and stains teeth.
The tooth surface is made of hard enamel, while the interior is composed of soft dentin and inner nerve tissue. Enamel protects the dentin and nerve tissue from external stimuli. However, continuous exposure to vigorous brushing wears away the enamel, exposing the yellowish dentin, making it easier for external stimuli to be transmitted to the nerve tissue.
The second is brushing immediately after eating acidic foods. Eating acidic foods like fruit juice, carbonated drinks, alcohol, and coffee leaves a residue on your teeth. Brushing immediately after eating can cause the acid on your teeth to interact with the toothpaste, potentially eroding your teeth. Dr. Hamid says this habit can ultimately lead to yellow teeth. In such cases, it's best to rinse your mouth with mouthwash or water to remove the acid, and then wait 30 minutes before brushing.
Meanwhile, genetic factors can also cause teeth to appear yellow. Tooth color depends on the thickness of the enamel and dentin. Thick white enamel appears white, while thick yellow dentin appears yellow. Those with genetically thick dentin tend to have yellow teeth from a young age.
The best way to prevent tooth discoloration is to avoid foods with high pigment content. If you find it difficult to quit coffee, consider a latte with milk. The casein protein in milk prevents tooth discoloration.

I think I've heard a lot about coffee.
Drink some coffee and gargle a little
They say it helps a little
Don't hold the toothbrush in your palm
Pick it up with your fingers and gently
Brushing your teeth is more helpful.
