When is the best time to get orthodontic treatment?

Some people recommend doing it during adolescence, before the teeth are fully settled.

However, some people also recommend doing it after the teeth have fully settled into place.

I really want to get braces for straight teeth.

Is it already a bit late now that I am an adult?
