People who use orthodontic retainers

I have been using a retention device for almost 20 years now.

 

I'm not sure of the reason.

My gums hurt occasionally and it lasts a long time.

 

Every time that happens, I go and get scaling and gum treatment.

 

My gums keep getting worse like this.

I'm also considering whether to remove the retention device.

 

But if you remove the retention device

I'm worried that the correction might get messed up again.

 

Have you ever had a retention device and then had it removed?

How do you feel?

 

Are you going back again?

 

I don't think I can get braces anymore because of my age.

I'm curious about those who have removed the maintenance device.
