After orthodontic treatment

When I was a child, I was very small and my teeth grew evenly, but when my permanent teeth came in, they grew too large, resulting in uneven teeth alignment.

So, I decided to have four teeth extracted and undergo orthodontic treatment, and this is a case that started six years ago and was completed four years ago.

Those who did it quite a while ago around here still say that the device the doctor inside this area does is something you'll do for a lifetime, and they are still doing it.

But our doctor said that it would be enough to do it for about five years and that they would remove it when you come then.

I'm wondering why each doctor says different things... I'm really unsure if I should remove the internal retention device.

Of course, if I say I will do it, the doctor probably won't say to remove it, but I'm worried that if I remove it unnecessarily and pay a lot of money, it might mess up the alignment of my teeth.
