Is a refrigerator for cosmetics really necessary??

Many people store their cosmetics in the refrigerator, right?

Some people also use a cosmetic refrigerator that only stores skincare products.

There are quite a few different products on the market now labeled as cosmetic refrigerators.

The price range is also diverse, but most of the products are in the ten-thousand won range.

 

First, I want to consider the background behind the emergence of these cosmetic refrigerators.

A cosmetic refrigerator helps reduce swelling and improve skin elasticity when applied cold to the face.

Thinking this way, I probably started cooling various things like cosmetics and mask packs in the refrigerator.

 

But... do we really need a refrigerator for cosmetics?

If you simply want to enhance the effectiveness of your skincare products, check the ingredient list on the back of the product you are using.

Most cosmetics are developed with the consideration that they will be used at room temperature, ranging from 10 to 25 degrees Celsius.

Therefore, there is no need to store this cosmetic at a low temperature.

However, for cosmetics that contain active ingredients that are prone to denaturation and destruction, it is good to store them in the refrigerator if possible.

 

Just like now, during the scorching summer, not storing it only under direct sunlight, too,

Storing cosmetics in an extremely cold refrigerator, too,

It would be best to avoid both.

I think that is your own choice.

If the cosmetic refrigerator is in the bedroom vanity, it's fine to use it conveniently.

If not, then you can use it if you're willing to go to the kitchen and take out the cosmetics despite the inconvenience.
