According to the American portal site 'Yahoo! Life,' tea made from turmeric offers health benefits. When hot water is poured over fresh turmeric root or dried turmeric powder, turmeric tea is made, which contains curcumin, the health component of turmeric, in its pure form.
Health benefits of turmeric tea

After 12 weeks of observation, the rats that took curcumin along with high-fat food did not gain much weight and their blood cholesterol levels did not increase.
The research team explained, "Eating high-fat foods leads to the formation of new blood vessels, causing fat tissue to expand and weight to increase," and added, "In rats that consumed curcumin, the formation of new blood vessels was reduced, thereby suppressing fat accumulation."
