People with high blood sugar levels shouldn't push themselves too hard... Why?

People with high blood sugar shouldn't push themselves... why?

Reporter Han Hee-jun's story

Trying to keep your skin clean by pushing the time can actually be ruining your skin's health.

Sebum refers to dirt and other impurities in the air, mixed with dead skin cells, sweat, sebum, and other skin secretions, which cling to the skin. Since it can be easily washed away with a shower, there's no need to scrub it off.

When you exfoliate, what's mostly exposed is the stratum corneum of normal skin. When this layer, which acts as a protective barrier to prevent moisture evaporation, is removed, the skin becomes drier and rougher.

Excessive scrubbing can lead to dermatitis. This occurs when the stratum corneum is removed, triggering an inflammatory response to repair damaged skin. Our bodies then overproduce dead skin cells to repair the stratum corneum, leaving skin rough and irritated. Scrubbing the skin to avoid further damage creates a vicious cycle.

Some people especially need to avoid squeezing, such as the elderly or those with diabetes.

Older people often have dry skin because their body water content is reduced, and if they continue to use it, the dryness will worsen.

Diabetic patients also often have dry skin due to poor blood circulation caused by high blood sugar levels. Sugar in the blood can cause inflammation and damage nerves, which can lead to Skin function declines and becomes hypersensitive, causing itching even with mild stimulation. I feel it. Pushing makes it worse.

Even if you don't have any illness, just take a light shower to protect and moisturize your skin.

The same goes for the face.

If possible, wash your face gently without rubbing it.

After washing, it is good to dry off all moisture and immediately apply moisturizer to prevent moisture from evaporating from the skin.

==========

I think it's been a while since I pushed the time...

I have a habit of showering every day,

They say you don't have to push the timing.

Tight on the face. Grandma and mom do it a lot.

It's really bad for your skin...

It's cold outside, so be sure to bring moisturizer.
