Depending on your health condition, it's beneficial to cook rice by mixing various grains. Here are some recommended grains for different situations.

If you have diabetes, mixing in brown rice, barley, and other grains is beneficial. The high fiber content helps control blood sugar levels by suppressing rapid spikes in blood sugar after meals.

People with high cholesterol levels can benefit from eating a mix of sorghum and foxtail millet. The National Institute of Crop Science divided rats with metabolic syndrome into two groups and administered sorghum extract to only one group. The results showed that their LDL cholesterol levels and insulin secretion levels, both of which were 51% and 50.6% of the other group's levels, respectively.

Those who need to lose weight can eat rice mixed with red beans, which are rich in fiber and saponins, to maintain a feeling of fullness for longer. Those with poor digestion can eat rice mixed with Job's tears.

Faro, an ancient grain grown in Tuscany, Italy, has recently gained popularity. Rich in dietary fiber and resistant starch, it's a great grain to mix into rice for those with diabetes or obesity. Dietary fiber slows the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates, gently raising blood sugar levels. It also maintains a feeling of fullness for longer, even with smaller portions, reducing cravings for snacks.

To fully reap the benefits of mixed grains, you should mix white rice with mixed grains in a ratio of 7:3 to 5:5. The key to eating mixed grain rice is not to eat a lot all at once, but to eat consistently for at least six months.

Meanwhile, some believe that young children should not eat mixed-grain rice due to their weak digestive systems. However, mixed-grain rice is coarser in texture than white rice and does not cause any particular digestive problems. Children, who consume relatively less dietary fiber than adults, can benefit from mixed-grain rice to prevent constipation and childhood obesity.

For infants, it's beneficial to mix in relatively soft millet and foxtail millet, or mung beans, which are rich in essential amino acids and support growth and development. Children may be reluctant to chew grains that are harder than rice. In this case, simply increase the proportion of white rice.

Kamut is eating, but I guess Pago is popular....

It would be good to mix 7 parts white rice with 7 parts mixed grains.

I also do this ratio every day.

I think the rice is getting darker and darker haha

This time I also bought 3 colors of brown rice.

That's why I eat slowly.
