How to recover quickly from stomatitis - Recommended supplements and patches
The elders on my mother's side of the family get mouth sores easily when they are just a little tired, so they can't eat properly.
It's the canker sore we often talk about. I think my younger sister and I inherited that gene...
In my case, since I was young, for almost 40 years, whenever I get a little tired...
I remember suffering for a whole week because of stomatitis. My younger sister had the same experience.
But it seems to have occurred almost once a month... However, I have been managing to prevent it from happening almost since about six years ago.
So, I want to write this to help you all.
Mouth ulcers are divided into many types depending on the cause, and people like me call it aphthous stomatitis.
It is said to account for about 60% of stomatitis.
First, let's learn about stomatitis.

According to the health and medical big data 자료 (2019), approximately 980,000 patients occur annually, with age and gender being factors.
It occurs in various ways regardless, with many cases in children under 10 years old and especially in women over 50.
They say it happens quite often~
Here, I would like to talk about aphthous stomatitis, a chronic condition I have been suffering from.
First, I would like to explain the prevention methods.
1. Taking propolis - this is the best way I know to cure stomatitis!!!!!
I take a lot of supplements and eat things to boost my immunity, such as taking a multivitamin, etc.
I've tried almost everything to get rid of canker sores, and I thought that just eating it for a short while wouldn't be effective, so I've been doing it for at least a year with different types.
I was on medication, but the stomatitis never completely went away.
But one day, when I visited Costco, I found some supplements and took them without thinking...
This is it~~ Back then, it was bigger and the design was slightly different, but it has changed like this since recently.
And at that time, I had to take two pills each, and they were larger, but now they are smaller and contain more flavonoids.
You only need to take one pill.
Since I started taking this six years ago, I have only had a single case of stomatitis, so it has really been effective in prevention.
I reduced the amount of nutritional supplements I take in the middle, so I also reduced the propolis...
I developed stomatitis again after just a month, but since then I've been eating constantly and the stomatitis has disappeared, haha.
2. Prevent dry mouth, use a Waterpik
People who breathe through their mouths are more prone to dry mouth, creating an environment where bacteria can easily proliferate.
It is exposed. Please make sure to drink water frequently. Also, a Waterpik, commonly called a water flosser, is used inside the mouth.
Effectively removes bacteria and plaque^^
3. Adequate sleep and nutritional intake
Since a weakened immune system increases the likelihood of developing stomatitis, it is advisable to develop a habit of going to bed before 10 PM and sleeping for about 8 hours. Additionally, it is good to avoid spicy, salty, and rough foods, and to focus on eating foods rich in vitamins and proteins^^
But no matter how much you try to prevent it, if you're too tired or your immune system becomes too weak, mouth ulcers can occur.ㅜ.ㅜ
Only those who have really experienced it know, but you can say that they can hardly eat anything.ㅜ.ㅜ It's still terrible now....
So, whenever we have someone going to Japan, we always buy this patch and keep it as an emergency supply^^
Everyone, make sure to have this on hand and try it when you get stomatitis—it's amazing!!!
This is it~~ I still don't know the exact name, haha. But everyone knows it as an aphthous ulcer patch~
This is a user manual translated with Papago, so please use it as a reference!!
The method of attaching looks like this when opened.
Pull the inside of the patch on the left and it will come off, then place your index finger at the bottom.
You just need to lift it. The dark-colored area visible in the photo is where you should place your finger on the affected area.
It is not the part to be attached~
The pink area currently visible is the part that directly touches the wound.
After removing with the index finger like this, place the pink-colored visible part against the affected area for about 1 to 2 minutes.
If you keep it fixed in an attached state, it won't come off easily and will stay attached like in the next picture.
When the border area turns white, it sticks together. I thought it would come off easily, but I directly applied it to the wound and left it for about 10 minutes.
Once it passes, it never falls off, and it really hurts when you remove it after about a day.ㅜ.ㅜ
It surrounds the affected area, so when removing it, tears almost well up.
The good thing about this is that it protects the affected area from external stimuli, helping it heal faster.
It was really good because there was no irritation to the affected area when I ate, so I could eat freely~~
Highly recommended for those who frequently suffer from stomatitis!!!!
So far, I have shared some more useful methods for preventing and treating stomatitis.
I hope this can be of some help to those suffering from stomatitis!!
Thank you for reading the long message so far~~
