Piercing like a needle, urinary stones... Drink beverages that include 'this'

Urinary stones are known for causing unbearable pain. When a stone in the kidney dislodges and gets lodged in the narrow part of the ureter, it obstructs urine flow and causes pain. The pain feels like a stabbing sensation that extends from the side or abdomen to the lower abdomen. It can be so intense that even changing position does not alleviate the pain, leading to cold sweats.

Most of the time, this type of pain lasts for a few minutes or a few hours. Since it is best to pay close attention to your diet to prevent stone formation, I will look into dietary habits that help prevent and manage urinary stones.

Adequate hydration is essential

When we consume a lot of fluids, the urine becomes diluted, which can prevent stone formation. At this time, the urine volume also increases, and stones may be naturally expelled. First, you should drink at least 2 liters (10 cups of water) of fluids per day to increase urine output. During hot summer months when sweating heavily or during physical activity, more adequate hydration is necessary.

Avoid consuming animal-based proteins as much as possible.

Excessive intake of animal proteins (meat, fish, eggs, seafood, etc.) increases the levels of calcium, uric acid, and oxalate in the urine, which are components of kidney stones. This causes the urine to become less acidic, creating an environment conducive to stone formation. Therefore, it is recommended to avoid high-protein diets and limit the intake of animal proteins as much as possible. However, since animal proteins are essential nutrients for our body, they should be consumed occasionally, even if not in large amounts.

Minimize salt intake as much as possible

The main component that produces a salty taste, sodium, increases the amount of calcium excreted in urine. At this time, sodium can help facilitate stone formation, so it is recommended to eat as blandly as possible. To reduce sodium intake, it is necessary to avoid salty foods whenever possible and to make an effort to reduce the use of salt, soy sauce, soybean paste, red pepper paste, and sauces during cooking.

Since you're going to drink anyway, choose a beverage that contains citric acid.

Citric acid is a substance that prevents the formation of urinary stones. When choosing beverages other than water, it is also good to select orange juice, plum drink, or lemonade, which contain a high amount of citric acid.

Consume foods rich in fiber.

Foods high in fiber hinder calcium absorption and increase calcium excretion through stool by binding with calcium. They also have the effect of reducing calcium excretion through urine. Additionally, multigrain rice, vegetables, seaweed, and fruits can help prevent the formation of urinary stones.

===========================

Urinary stones are a disease famous for causing unbearable pain.

It's also in my family. Every dawn. Or late at night.

It seems like a coming guest.

It seems like you're almost heading to the emergency room.

They say that if you go to the hospital, they will have to break the stone with a laser, and it will be extremely painful.

It's good to prevent it in advance.

I'll try sharing it.
