A review of visiting the hospital with pneumonia symptoms and receiving prescriptions for antibiotics and antipyretics

Last winter, I contracted pneumonia and experienced continuous coughing, phlegm, and difficulty breathing. The hospital confirmed the diagnosis through X-ray imaging, which showed changes in the lung shadows. Treatment for pneumonia included antibiotics, antipyretics, and expectorants, and I still maintain strict personal hygiene to prevent viruses from entering, while enjoying foods rich in vitamins A and C, zinc, and ginger tea. Pneumonia is an inflammation of the lungs that impairs normal lung function, leading to systemic symptoms throughout the body. Initially, I thought it was a common cold, and the symptoms were not severe. However, due to a tight schedule, I hardly slept, worked overnight for two weeks, barely ate, and only drank caffeinated beverages like coffee to avoid sleeping, resulting in over two weeks of nutritional deficiency. As symptoms worsened, a single cough lasted over five minutes, and later I experienced severe chest muscle cramps as if being squeezed, along with sudden breathlessness and suffocation while sleeping. Eventually, I was taken to the hospital, where an X-ray confirmed changes in the lung shadows, leading to a diagnosis of pneumonia. I was prescribed antibiotics, antipyretics, and expectorants for two weeks, and gradually recovered. Even now, I prevent viruses that could trigger pneumonia by adding ginger to various dishes and boiling ginger tea to boost immunity. Ginger is effective in preventing inflammation, swelling, and diseases like pneumonia. Additionally, to prevent pneumonia, I always pay attention to cleanliness and enjoy foods rich in vitamins A and C, zinc, to maintain good health.
