After receiving an initial diagnosis of diabetes and contemplating, I purchased a blood glucose meter. I measure my blood sugar about once a day.

I record my blood sugar levels. I don't like having to prick my finger and see blood every time I test, but being able to check the actual numbers visually helps me stay alert and cautious, so I think it's a win-win situation.
