남 얘기 같지않아요 나이드니 당뇨 걱정되더라구요 걸리기전에 빨리 조치를 취해야겠군요
(Concern) I'm worried because I am in the pre-diabetes stage.
My mother also has diabetes, and many people on my maternal side have it, so lately I've been worried that I might also develop diabetes.
Diabetes is said to be much more likely if there is a family history.
As I get older, I become worried, so I checked with my home diabetes testing device, and my fasting blood sugar is around 110, and two hours after a meal, it ranges between 130 and 140.
When I search for normal blood sugar levels for diabetes, it says fasting should be below 100 to be considered normal, but my fasting level is almost around 110.
I'm in the pre-diabetes stage, so I always pay attention to my diet and also exercise diligently.
I do aerobic exercise by walking ten thousand steps every day, except on really tiring or difficult days.
The diet is really against flour, so I try to avoid eating flour-based foods as much as possible. I used to enjoy rice cakes because I liked them before, but I heard that rice cakes are the best for raising blood sugar, so I never eat them. I also only eat oats and brown rice for rice, and I enjoy eating tomatoes as my fruit.
I need to completely cut out flour, but if I stop eating flour altogether, I get depressed. So I eat flour-based foods twice a month, but it's really not easy to completely give up flour.
Could the occasional consumption of flour-based foods be causing the blood sugar levels to be like that? I'm worried because the levels seem somewhat high and uncertain.
What additional things should be included in prediabetes management?
