(Helpful Tip) How to Liberate Yourself from Cholesterol
Today, I will share one health tip for our family.
Yesterday, I was watching TV when MBN's 'King of Thumbs' aired an episode titled "Just 14 Days! Cholesterol Liberation Project."
So, they mentioned turmeric on the broadcast~
Actually, my biological mother personally grew turmeric on her farm and put it in bottles because she said it's good for health, so I have been consistently eating it too. Haha
But I watched a broadcast yesterday and it turned out to be really good for cholesterol~
So today, I would like to share the recipe for the turmeric powder dish I am eating at home.
Although it is a small illness, I was eating very little, so I have already eaten this much.
My mom put the honey in a large jar, but it's hard to open the big jar every time, so I transfer it to a smaller bottle, keep it in the spice container, and use it daily.
Can you see the bright yellow powder~ The color is so beautiful
So, where do I use this yellow turmeric powder? I put it in the rice I eat every day~
I am cooking rice by adding exactly one teaspoon with a teaspoon when preparing the rice.
Yesterday, a regular guest who appeared on "King of Thumbs" showed experimental results where they ate turmeric rice twice a day for 14 days and their cholesterol levels significantly dropped. Wow~~ It's so amazing, and I'm so grateful that my mom personally farmed the turmeric and made it into powder for us.
I only put in one spoonful with a teaspoon~
Because it dissolves well even in cold water, if you add a spoonful of turmeric powder and stir quickly, you get this beautiful-colored turmeric water.
When you cook it in water, the bright yellow turmeric water looks like this, but when you cook rice, it doesn't turn that yellow very much~
This is turmeric rice~~ I used the yellow turmeric water from the picture above to cook the rice, but it didn't turn that yellow; it has an ivory hue.
If you put in a lot of turmeric, it will look more yellow...
It is recommended to consume about 5 to 10 grams per day.
And if you add too much, the turmeric flavor will be too strong and may cause discomfort, so it's better to add turmeric powder according to your family's taste.
This is the turmeric rice I ate this morning~ I like plain rice, so the rice looks a bit soft.
For those trying turmeric rice for the first time, the turmeric aroma will be stronger than expected~
Then try wrapping it in seaweed like our son did~
And eating turmeric rice every day is cumbersome.
If it's difficult to eat due to the characteristic aroma of turmeric, you can also mix it into milk with honey for a better taste.
Try mixing turmeric powder into milk and enjoy.
It hardly has any turmeric aroma, and with the nutty flavor of milk, you will be able to enjoy it smoothly.
Adding about 1-2g of turmeric powder to milk makes the turmeric's aroma and taste almost disappear, so children also eat it well~
When you see it in person, it has the color of banana-flavored milk, but the color doesn't come out well in the photo haha
If you have high cholesterol levels, I recommend you consistently take turmeric using the method I will tell you.
It is said that just 14 days of consumption can lower cholesterol levels, so be sure to try it.
And this is information posted online by someone else, but it says that the compound called curcumin found in turmeric has higher absorption when taken with olive oil, chili, or pepper, so I think I should try this method too~
And one more thing I want to tell you, when making curry at home, adding it little by little during cooking seems like it would make all your family members happy~
This is my mom's little tip: after grilling pork belly or pork neck, she sprinkles turmeric powder on top. It helps to cut through the richness of the meat.
