(Helpful Tip) Recommended foods that are good for diabetes
I have diabetes, but it's not severe; I just need to take medication consistently every time.
So, I check my levels daily while taking medication.
Do you know that diabetes is hereditary?
My parents didn't have diabetes, but my grandfather did.
Diabetes is said to be inherited by the next-next generation.
Diabetes mellitus
Diabetes, which is one of the chronic and systemic diseases, refers to a metabolic disorder caused by problems with insulin, the hormone that helps absorb sugar into cells in the blood, thereby lowering blood sugar levels. Diabetes occurs when there is insufficient insulin secretion or when insulin does not function properly. If you experience a sudden significant weight loss, frequent fatigue, or increased urination, there is a high likelihood that these are symptoms of diabetes.
I will actually recommend foods that are good for diabetes that I am eating.
First, it's Yeoju.
It is one of the most famous foods.
My mother-in-law sent me dried bitter melon, and the first time I saw it, I was shocked.
I thought I was ugly, but I heard it's good for diabetics, so I asked how to eat it, and they told me we just need to drink water.
The bitter taste of the bitter melon is quite strong, so I don't cook it as food. Instead, I put dried bitter melon into boiling water and drink the infused water. It has a hearty flavor.
It helps improve insulin secretion, making it one of the good foods for diabetes.
Secondly, it's a blue-colored fish.
Blue fish such as mackerel, saury, and Pacific saury are representative examples, and because they are rich in omega-3, they help lower cholesterol levels.
Fortunately, my little uncle works in the fishing industry, so he always sends fish in large icebox boxes, and I am able to eat them heartily.
Thirdly, it's onion.
Onions are one of the foods commonly eaten in daily life, and inside onions, there is a compound called chrom that helps lower blood sugar levels and plays a major role in further activating insulin secretion.
Diabetes can be managed to maintain proper blood sugar levels and a healthy life without complications, depending on how it is lived; therefore, it is considered a disease that cannot be cured but can be controlled.
Let's manage together and live a healthier life.
