I'm concerned about an uncontrollable diabetes condition.

I have been diagnosed with diabetes and taking medication for about 10 years.

At first, I didn't think it was a big deal, so I just took medication and didn't pay special attention to management. Since I was in a position where interpersonal relationships were essential, I often drank alcohol and had hearty dinners. Still, on weekends, I went hiking and exercised regularly. Now, having left that kind of job, I completely quit drinking and manage my health by eating moderately. I have been walking over 15,000 steps every day without fail for three years, and on weekends, I go hiking and do various exercises diligently. As a result, I lost about 8 kilograms and became relatively slim, but my blood sugar levels didn't decrease; instead, they went up. The glycated hemoglobin, which had dropped to 6.7, recently measured at 8.1. I felt a sense of frustration. Despite exercising diligently and controlling my diet, why are my levels rising? I lost 8 kilograms because obesity is said to be the biggest enemy...

Of course, I inherited my parents' genes, but if I can't manage it even with this, what should I do...

My primary care doctor also couldn't suggest any special methods. Watching people around me suffering from diabetic complications makes me worried. Fortunately, all my complication tests done every six months come back normal, but I still worry. Diabetes medication is not a cure but an insulin supplement, and long-term use can harm the liver and kidneys. I wonder if there are any ways to treat diabetes. I would like to seek help from experts or those with experience.

If this trend continues, the doctor says I will need to start insulin injections, but insulin seems to be the last resort. If anyone has properly treated their diabetes and seen positive results, I would appreciate your advice.

    저희집도 당뇨가 가족력이라 항상 조심하고 있지만 어려운 질환 같아요. 어머니가 당뇨를 앓은신지 30년이 더 됐는데 하루에 4번 혈당체크를 하고 있어요. 인슐린 투여중이고요.
    일요일은 항상 고기를 먹는데 아무리 많이 드셔도 당이 안올라요. 단백질 중심의 식단이 중요한 것 같아요. 식사 후 바로 운동 해 주시는 것도 중요하고. 
    마를 갈아서 돼지감자랑 여주가루 넣어 매일 아침 마셨어요.

      그러시군요. 당뇨는 한번 진입하면 완치 자체가 없는것 같습니다.
      아무리 식이요법을 하고 운동을 열심히 해도 떨칠수는 없네요.
      그래도 유지가 중요하니 이것저것 좋은 음식과 운동을 해가면서 더 안좋아지는 상황을 없애야 할것 같아요
