Is it okay to take Irritable Bowel Syndrome medication frequently?

The child often says their stomach hurts.

I think it's been about three years...

It hurts suddenly at any time, but it doesn't last long.

It gets better after about half a day.

Even if I go to the hospital, it seems there is no specific cause.

I looked it up and found that many children experience unexplained abdominal pain during this period.

Since there is no apparent cause, it seems like irritable bowel syndrome.

I give him irritable bowel syndrome medication whenever he says he is in pain.

It is trimebutine maleate, a medicine that normalizes the intestines.

I heard it is effective for abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, and so on.

They say the pain subsided about an hour after eating.

I really don't know if it's the effect of the medication or just psychological.

But since I have frequent stomachaches

I wonder if it's okay to take medicine this often.

I eat it two or three times a week at most.

I am worried about potential tolerance or side effects.

So I don't give medicine every time.

It is pitiful to see them trying to endure without taking medicine.

Is it okay to just keep giving this medicine when they are in pain?

Are there any side effects even if I take it frequently?
